2010 Amgen Tour of California - Starts in Nevada City!

The 2010 Amgen Tour of California will start right outside our front door in downtown Nevada City!  The Amgen Tour of California is America's premier bicycling event.  The 2010 Amgen Tour has chosen our own historic Nevada City as the starting point of the race for Sunday May 16, 2010.  If the Nevada City Classic is any indication, the race will literally begin on the doorstep of our Nevada County Properties' office in Nevada City.   

Nevada City and the entire region is a buzz with excitement!  The 2010 Amgen Tour of California will attract the world's top cyclists.  Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France Champion and defending Tour of California champion Levi Leipheimer will compete against a host of top American and international cyclists for the Tour of California crown. 

Lance Armstrong fed the frenzie of expectation when he won the 2009 Nevada City Classic on Father's Day this past summer and Levi declared “What we did today is show that Nevada City deserves to be on the route of the Tour of California.” And so it is!
