It just keeps getting better. Rates took a nice dip the latter part of the week as investors are betting that we will continue to experience low inflation and slow employment recovery well into 2011. The Central Bank continues to send the message that it intends to keep the Fed rate at zero for an extended period of time, until the economy is once again on a firm footing.

At some point we're going to be saying goodbye to under 5% mortgage rates as the norm, and buyer's who sit and watch the opportunities in today's market are going to look back on this time and say: "I should have, I could have, I didn't!"

Typically 4.5% has been the bottom, so I'm not looking for rates to fall further, as banks really resist such levels. But think about it, just 7 years ago we were quoting 5.875% and clients were in heaven. And 10 years ago obtaining 8.75% was a coup. So these are amazing times.
