Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley

Celebrate a romantic old-fashioned Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley.  Recapture the spirit of Christmas past every Friday night starting Thanksgiving Weekend through the last Friday before Christmas Eve as Grass Valley puts on its Annual Cornish Christmas.

The Grass Valley Cornish Choir, other carolers, musicians, Tommy Knocker Cloggers, Santa Claus and more add to the festive spirit! Roving Christmas carolers are a special part of Grass Valley’s unique history. In the early 1870s, a group of miners formed the Grass Valley Cornish Carol Choir. The choir was composed of Cornish gold miners who began singing at the end of a work day in the mines while walking to their homes. The miners would sing Cornish Christmas songs that their ancestors had sang for centuries in Cornwall, England.

Artisans and local merchants offer a wide selection of holiday gifts for the loved ones on your holiday list.  Delicious food and drinks are available from local restaurants and vendors!
