Nevada County Properties takes the lead with NAR Green Designation

Having lived in a beautiful wooded, lakeside setting off the grid with solar and other renewable energy sources, John and Sandra Brown Hensley have been conscious of the importance of sustainable living and building practices for decades.  Throughout the country sustainable building design and green building practices are fast becoming accepted, and in certain areas mandatory.

We are proud to now be taking the lead in our community in completing the National Association of Realtor’s Green Designation certification.  John is one of the first four Nevada County realtor/brokers to complete the REALTOR®, GREEN designation.

“Going green” for many has become a fad.  A lot of “greenwashing” is going on including in real estate.  However, we understand the long term value sustainable living and building practices for individuals, families and our community. Our intention as an NAR Green Designee is to help you distinguish fact from fiction in order to make educated decisions about: green materials, energy-efficient technology, green ratings, green design, sustainable living, landscaping, and more!
